Membership
Any individual with a broad interest in the area of pelvic floor dysfunction is eligible to apply for membership, which will be subject to approval of the Executive Committee and which will be available for two years and subsequently renewable. Clinicians from the fields of urology, urogynaecology, colorectal surgery, care of the elderly, primary care and neurology are encouraged to participate. Nurses, continence advisors, physiotherapists, lay members of the public and representatives from charities, funding bodies and industry are all welcome to apply by contacting the Administrator (see Contacts page).
It is intended that the Executive will be drawn from the membership by election. At outset, the Executive is unelected. The intention is to hold elections in 2010. The Executive will comprise two representatives each from the fields of urology, urogynaecology, colorectal surgery, nursing, physiotherapy and lay members. Representatives from charity or industry will be co-opted or invited, according to specific requirements. From the Executive will be elected a Chairman and one (sometimes two) co-Chairmen, a Director of Research and a Secretary.
